South America Flags
The largest flag regularly flown in the world is the Brazilian flag, which is 230 by 330 feet and weighs in at 13000 pounds. It is flown in the capital city of Brasilia. In many countries, especially in South American, there is a distinction between civil and state flags. Usually, the civil flag is a simpler version of the state flag.
Each country of South American has its own flag and flags in its history. These countries include Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Falkland Islands, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands, Suriname, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
